ECONOMICS TEACHER’S EFFECTIVENESS AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

ABSTRACT: This study was carried out to examine economics teacher’s effectiveness and academic performance of senior secondary school students in selected secondary schools in Owerri municipal Local Government, Imo State. Specifically, the study examined  the qualification of economics teachers in senior secondary schools affect the performance of the students.and also ascertain how the teachers method in teaching economics affect the student in senior secondary schools.further more it examines how the motivation of the teacher affect the academic performance of the students in senior secondary school. in selected secondary schools in Owerri municipal Local Government, Imo State. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 50 responses were validated from the survey.
